ALBAWABA - A man has made headlines after he appeared to be the only survivor of the Brazilian plane incident that took place on Friday, Aug. 9 killing all people on board.
According to The Independent, at least eight cancer doctors were among the 62 victims on board a plane that crashed in Brazil’s Vinhedo on Friday.
"These doctors were going to an oncology conference. These were people who dedicated their lives to saving others," the Daily Mail reported citing Brazilian official Eduardo Baptistella.
The ATR 72 twin-engine plane with 58 passengers and four crew members was going to Sao Paulo's Guarulhos International Airport before the accident, said Voepass Airlines, which operated the jet.
Man tells how he miraculously survived Brazilian plane crash
A man named Adrian Asis from Rio de Janeiro with tears in his eyes was thanking God and the person whom he called a hero for being the one behind keeping him alive after the plane crash.
The Brazilian man said in a TV interview that he was one of the few people who survived the horrific plane crash on Friday.
Adrian Asis said that he arrived at the airport at 9:40 a.m. but he found the gate door closed. He waited to see if it would open again as a person usually stands at the gate, but this time no one was around.
"I drank coffee and stayed in the same floor and they didn't announce anything in the mic regarding the trip neither an information was presented on airport screens," the survivor said.
He noted that when he went down the stairs it was 10:30 a.m. and there was a tall line, when he arrived, the man there told him that he couldn't get on the plane so he had a rift with him and that's what saved my life.
After the crash news, Asis went to the person who banned him from entering the plane and hugged him for saving his life.
