ALBAWABA - Fast food chain McDonald's UK has officially fired 18 of its workers after 407 employees complained about harassment allegations uncovered by the BBC.
CEO of McDonald's Restaurants, Alistair Macrow, confirmed the news after 407 of his employees complained, and since July, he has investigated 157 of them. He also added that he doesn't know how many of these complaints were referred to the police.
An investigation by BBC confirmed that workers as young as 17 were getting harassed and groped routinely which is quite concerning. They added that the workplace was toxic with sexual assault, racism, and bullying but no precautions were taken about it.
Macrow was receiving two complaints of sexual harassment incidents a week, according to the BBC.
