ALBAWABA - A video was shared on social media of a fleet of Ukrainian cars on the way to leave Kharkiv amid allegations that Russian troops are preparing to enter the Ukrainian city.

In the clip, thousands of cars were seen on the road leading to the outside of the second-largest city in Ukraine, Kharkiv.

According to alleged news being spread by some social media accounts, thousands of Ukrainian people have already escaped Kharkiv city after rumors spread that plans were made by Russia to enter the city amid the ongoing war.

A military expert posted the video on his Telegram account and wrote: "KHARKOV PEOPLE! DEMAND THE IMMEDIATE WITHDRAWAL OF ALL UNITS AND DIVISIONS OF THE VFU FROM THE CITY, TOGETHER WITH MILITARY EQUIPMENT! DON'T LET YOU MAKE YOURSELF A HUMAN SHIELD!"

Alex Zimovsky also added: "If the criminal Nazi Bandera administration of Kharkiv fails to comply with your demands, we recommend that, for safety reasons, you leave the city for a short period of time until it is completely liberated."

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a "special military operation" in Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022, and the Russian military invaded Ukraine. According to media sources, by June 2022, Russian troops occupied about 20% of Ukrainian territory. From a population of 41 million in January 2022, about 8 million Ukrainians had been internally displaced and more than 8.2 million had fled the country by April 2023.
