ALBAWABA - A video circulated on social media showing a group of pro-Hezbollah men brutally attacking a man for criticizing the militia in the city of Tyre in Lebanon.

The clip documented the moment Hezbollah supporters beat the young man, named Amer Halawi, while he was in a cafe, after accusations that he insulted Hezbollah, its leader, and members being killed in Israeli airstrikes.

According to Annahar newspaper, on the day Israel bombed the car of prominent Hezbollah commander Muhammad Nimeh Nasser, known as Abu Ali, in the Al-Housh area in the city of Tyre, July 3, Halawi's daughter was present near the targeted location with his relatives.

During the airstrike, Halawi was in a sports club but he received a video from his cousin's house in which there was screaming, and glass appeared falling on his daughter.

During that day, Lebanese man Amer Halawi criticized Hezbollah amid panic over his daughter's video, but he was confronted by a pro-Hezbollah man. On the next day at the cafe, the Lebanese man was surprised to see 15 men attacking him.

Halawi ended up in hospital after the brutal attack by dozens of men which was captured on video and shared online.
