ALBAWABA - A video of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu running circulated on social media and became the latest meme.

The video widely circulated amid the hundreds of ballistic missiles fired by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targeting Israel in a revenge attack over the death of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on July 31 and Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah on Sept. 27.

The Israeli army responded that the air forces will carry out airstrikes on some areas in the Middle East tonight as a response to the Iranian ballistic missile attack on Tel Aviv, Ynet reported.

Netanyahu described the missile attack by Iran on Tuesday evening "big mistake" and vowed to retaliate against Tehran in the perfect place and time.

Multiple accounts on X (formerly Twitter) shared the video and left comedic captions such as "Netanyahu running for his life into his dungeon," "Netayanhu who brags openly is scrambling for safety. The coward brags openly and hides secretly," and "Netanyahu knows his time is running out."

Meanwhile, the video is in fact very old and dates back to December 2021 when Netanyahu was rushing to vote at Knesset.

According to sources, the video was shared by Netanyahu himself on his official X account along with the caption: "I am always proud to run for you. It was taken half an hour ago in the Knesset."
