ALBAWABA - The health condition of Bashar Assad was questioned following unconfirmed reports that Syria's former president was poisoned in Russia and moved to a hospital.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights sparked controversy after demanding that Russian authorities provide an official explanation regarding reports that Syrian ousted president, Bashar Assad, was admitted to a hospital in the Moscow suburbs in critical condition following poisoning.
However, until the time of writing the article, Russian authorities have not issued any official comment on these allegations.
Social media activists are spreading many controversies online regarding the health of Bashar Assad in Moscow.
It is worth noting that Assad fled Syria to Russia on December 8, 2024, following the collapse of the regime.
In January 2025, a similar claim was made on social media after a Telegram user named General SVR recently allegedly said that the former Syrian president has reportedly fallen ill after someone tried poisoning him in an assassination attempt, according to The Sun.
