ALBAWABA - The 55th session of the Cairo International Book Fair has been making waves, attracting an unprecedented number of visitors while showing a diverse range of literary works. Dr. Nevin Al-Kilani, the Egyptian Minister of Culture, has been a huge help in overseeing the success of the event.

One interesting aspect Dr. Al-Kilani addressed was the alleged presence of a book worth 50 thousand pounds ($1,618.19) at the fair. In a recent television interview, she denied the existence of such a book, stating, "This is the first time I hear this information. Yes, this is definitely not the case." Despite this revelation, the fair continues to captivate attendees with its vast collection of books.

Dr. Al-Kilani also shed light on the reprinting of works by prominent writers. Notably, the writings of Taha Hussein were reprinted on the 50th anniversary of his passing. This act pays homage to the rich literary heritage of Egypt and celebrates the influential voices that have shaped its culture.

Dr. Al-Kilani also expressed her delight at the unprecedented turnout during the fair's opening days. Within just two days, half a million visitors had flocked to the exhibition grounds. This enthusiastic response showed just how much appeal the Cairo International Book Fair has and its ability to bring literature lovers together.
