Pre-paid customers can now send credit to family abroad

Kuwait Telecommunications Company VIVA, has partnered up with TransferTo, the leading provider of International Airtime Transfer services, enabling prepaid customers to send credit to friends, family and loved ones abroad.

Whether they live and work in Kuwait, or they are visiting any country on a business trip, or for vacation, a holiday, celebrating a birthday or special occasion, VIVA customers can stay connected with friends and family, by sending prepaid credit to the overseas prepaid account in any country offered under the service. VIVA continually seeks to offer customers innovative ways to communicate, and strives to reach each customer’s needs by focusing on promotions and deals that are affordable and most beneficial.

The ‘Transfer To’ service is immediate, fast, secure and easy to use. Customers can activate this service and send credit via SMS Text Message or through USSD. Customer can transfer directly by sending “ITU Mobile Number” via SMS to the short code ‘585’, to initiate the transaction and after choosing the amount; the customer will receive a confirmation notification.

Payment will be deducted immediately once it is accepted. The SMS Text Message sent to short code ‘585’ is free of charge. Limitations on transactions include 100 transactions per month, KD 100 per day and KD 200 per month.
