On Easter day, anti-coup protesters in Myanmar colored and designed boiled eggs on Sunday in the latest rally as the military junta continues its brutal crackdown against the people.
Moreover, to send their message against the military coup that happened on February 1st, scores of Myanmar protesters decorated eggs and left them on neighbour’s doorsteps and hanging in bags on front gates.
“I am Buddhist but I have joined this campaign because it is easy to get hold of eggs. I spent almost one hour decorating my eggs,” one Yangon based egg decorator revealed to AFP.
According to sources, at least 40 children were killed by the military as death toll topped at 536 so far in the anti-coup protests.
