Experience the Delights of Pakistani Cuisine

The ancient city capital of the northwestern Khyber province, Pakhtunkhwa, has retained its reputation for some of Pakistan's tastiest cuisine despite bearing the brunt of the country's bloody war.

Many people come to Peshawar just to see what the secret to this barbecue is.

The hearty cuisine comes from generations-old recipes emanating from the nearby Pashtun tribal lands along the border with Afghanistan.

Rice dishes and kebabs feature prominently in Pashtun cuisine. Lamb is eaten more often in Pashtun cuisine than any other Pakistani cuisines. Rice haleem, chapli kabab, tika, and mutton karahi are the most famous dishes.
