Muslims Worldwide Prepare to Celebrate 'The Holy Month of Ramadan'

Ramadan (also known as Ramzan, Ramadhan, or Ramathan), observed by Muslims worldwide, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. The word itself comes from the Arabic root “ramida” which roughly translates as “Scorching Heat”.

Fasting was made obligatory on all adult Muslims in the Second Year of Hijri (Migration from Makkah to Madinah of Muslims). 

This Year, Ramadan will begin on Wednesday, 16th May 2018 (according to Saudi Arabia) and end on Thursday, 14th June 2018. Eid ul Fitr Date will be on Friday, 15th June 2018.  Continue reading below »
