Asian Football Confederation signs cooperation agreement with CONCACAF

The Asian Football Confederation has signed a cooperation agreement with the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) in the Bahraini capital of Manama on Tuesday.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by AFC President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and CONCACAF President Victor Montagliani, the first MoU between the AFC and CONCACAF was signed in 2015, according to AFC.

The MoU concluded on Tuesday establishes a framework to strengthen collaboration between the two Confederations, to encourage knowledge exchange and to enhance football development in the respective territories.

Through the MoU, the AFC and CONCACAF will focus on joint efforts to explore the possibility of competitions opportunities between the two Confederations.

It will also pave the way for technical and administrative training exchanges in several areas including good governance, management, development, competitions, refereeing, marketing and communications, sports integrity, technology, and social responsibility.
