Striker Yassine Benzia (OSC Lille/France) chose to wear the colors of the Algerian team after meeting with the president of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) Mohamed Raouraoua Wednesday, FAF announced on its official website.

FAF will soon begin the administrative procedures at the International Federation (FIFA) to qualify the player with the Greens, the source added.

Benzia (21 years) has already played for the youth teams of France, including U-23. Therefore, he must make a case to FIFA to change his sports citizenship.

The president of the FAF announced last January that the player trained at The O Lyon would soon join the Algerian team.
