Egyptian popular club Zamalek have been drawn to play directly in the round of the 32 of the 2018 African Confederation Cup against the winners of Zimamoto of Zanzibar and Wolaitta Dicha of Ethiopia, hosting the second leg at home.

Zamalek, who finished third in the Egyptian league last season, were given a bye into the round of 32 of Africa's secondary club competition, given their high rank in the continent.

Their Egyptian counterparts, Masry of Port Said, were paired with Zambia's Green Buffaloes in the round of 64. They will host the first leg.

Egyptian league champions Ahly are competing in the African Champions League. The runners-up of the previous edition will face either Gabon's CF Mounana or Burkina Faso's Rail Club du Kadiogo.
