Manchester United travels to east London on Tuesday evening to face West Ham United, aiming to extend their strong Premier League run under Michael Carrick. The match comes amid increasing injury and suspension concerns for both teams, with several key players set to miss the game.

Manchester United Chasing a Fifth Straight League Win

United enters the match in good form, having won their last four Premier League games against Manchester City, Arsenal, Fulham, and Tottenham. This streak has helped Carrick’s side maintain their hold on fourth place in the table.

Another win would further increase United’s lead over Chelsea in the race for the Champions League spots, with just one point separating the two teams heading into the midweek matches.

Mason Mount Ruled Out as De Ligt Faces Fitness Race

Ahead of the match, Carrick confirmed that Mason Mount will not travel to West Ham due to a minor injury he picked up in training. The midfielder is expected to be back for United’s upcoming away game against Everton.

Meanwhile, defender Matthijs de Ligt is still a doubt as he recovers from a back problem that has kept him out since late November. Carrick mentioned that the Dutchman is improving, but he did not confirm a return date.

Patrick Dorgu Set for Extended Spell on the Sidelines

United will also be missing Patrick Dorgu, who suffered a thigh injury during the 3-2 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in late January.

Carrick stated that the Denmark international is expected to be out for several weeks, with his recovery possibly taking up to ten weeks. The club remains hopeful he can return before the end of the season.

Suspension and Goalkeeping Issues Add to Absences

Defensive options are limited by the suspension of West ham's player Jean-Clair Todibo, who is banned after receiving a red card for violent conduct against Chelsea.

In goal, Lukasz Fabianski is out due to a lower-back injury, leaving West Ham lacking experience at the position.

United Squad Travels with Key Names Included

Manchester United’s traveling squad features several senior players, including Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martínez, and Luke Shaw, along with attacking options Amad, Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko, and Joshua Zirkzee.
