Former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola reportedly used to keep tabs on his former players in order to guide Barcelona through a trouble free and successful reign.

Guardiola, who led Barcelona to a dozen trophies in his four-year reign, including two Champions League victories, was obsessed with his players leading orderly private lives, according to a source, the Sun reports.

The source further said that the former Barcelona manager did not want his players to party hard and then fail to perform at the pitch so he put private investigators behind them.

Ronaldinho, Deco, Samuel Eto'o and Gerard Pique were among the stars put under surveillance between 2008 and 2012, the report added. (ANI)
