Jordan secured a historic win over Uzbekistan in the second leg of a World Cup play-off, making a big step towards the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The Uzbeks took an early lead in the clash with a goal in the 5th minute but Jordan's Saeed Murjan scored by a stunning 25-yard half-volley in the 44th minute and restored parity.

Jordan forced the hosts into a penalty shootout after holding them to 120-minute 1-1 draw. Al Nashama scored 9 successful penalties against 8 to the Uzbeks.
