Toni Kroos hints at Manchester United move in the summer

Manchester United have been handed a major boost after Toni Kroos has given a big hint that he may come to the Premier League in the summer. The future of the Bayern Munich midfielder has been under much speculation over the last few months. He is out of contract in the summer of 2015 and there has been no progress in the attempts to extend his stay at the club. Talks have been ongoing for a long time now, but Kroos reveals that he has not made any decision on his future.

Manchester United are one of the clubs looking to sign him, but the interest shown by David Moyes’ men could prove crucial. According to Sky Sports, Kroos spoke about his future ahead of a crucial Champions League match against Arsenal. He said:

"I will consider everything if I should leave."

"Nothing has been decided about my future. It's no secret the Premier League is an option for me. No one has come to any agreement and it will stay like this until the summer.

"I've heard that people have written that I might go to England. But there's nothing new from my point of view.”

The 24-year-old is widely regarded as one of the finest central midfielders in the world right now. He demonstrated his worth to the Bayern team by scoring the club’s opening goal against Arsenal a few weeks ago. Despite this, he continues to remain as one of the underpaid players with a contract thought to be around €4.6 million per year. Bayern are reportedly prepared to offer around €8 million per year, but Kroos could comfortably earn much higher by making a switch to United.

United’s current form may complicate matters since the club are unlikely to be in the Champions League next season. Further, the transitional phase that the Red Devils are going through right now may actually put off a player approaching the peak of his career.

For now, Kroos will be focused on finishing the job against Arsenal and getting into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
