Manchester United are on the verge of signing Lille defender Leny Yoro.

Real Madrid were also in the race to sign the 18-year-old, but the Frenchman decided to accept United's offer.

He is now set for a medical, according to The Athletic.

Lille and United agreed a deal worth around £52 million, and personal terms are almost finalized.

The French club had to put Yoro for sale, with his contract expiring next season.

He has made 60 appearances for Lille across all competitions since his promotion to the first team in 2022.
