Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly interested in Liverpool star defender Virgil van Dijk.

The Dutchman is being targeted by the Saudi Public Investment Fund amid efforts to elevate the overall quality of the SPL.

The 33-year-old has cast doubt on his future, and TEAMtalk have now revealed that the Reds want €55 million for a move this transfer window.

However, the PIF officials believe the English giants are demanding a very high fee for the player, whose deal is set to expire next year.

The fund is willing to wait until January to negotiate a deal with Van Dijk that would allow him to arrive next summer on a free transfer.
