Manchester City have been linked with a move for a new midfield face according to reports from the Sunday People.

The Citizens loaned out defensive midfielder Gareth Barry to Everton in the summer transfer window and despite the addition of Fernandinho and last summer arrival Javi Garcia, their seems to be a lacking of the skills that Barry held for the side in previous years.

With the over 30 Englishman expected to be sold on to Everton permanently next summer or another club, it seems that a January addition could be the next best answer.

Real Madrid holding midfielder Sami Khedira is believed the most recent target of the Sky Blues and are thought to be preparing an offer in the range of £30 million.

The German international has made 13 appearances for Madrid so far this season and looks a strong piece of Carlo Ancelotti's plans for the future.

However, Manchester United also have been linked to Khedira this past week by ESPN and looks like he could be the next player the two sides have a tug of war over in the future.
