Manchester City are targeting Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to transfer expert Ben Jacobs.

The Sky Blues believe the Italy international could be the ideal replacement for Ederson Moraes.

Ederson is wanted this summer by Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, and if he were to leave, the Premier League champions will move for the former AC Milan shot stopper.

Jacobs reported: "Manchester City have approached Gianluigi Donnarumma as an option in case Ederson leaves for Saudi.

"Donnarumma is happy at PSG and has held early-stage discussions about extending, but is known to be interested in playing in the Premier League at some stage in his career."

The Italian's deal with PSG is valid until 2026.
