Leicester City new signing Rachid Ghezzal aims to score many goals and assists this season.
The 26-year-old joined Claude Puel’s squad on a four-year deal from Monaco and comes in as an extra boost following departure of Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City.
Ghezzal - comfortable in any attacking position - spent only a season at the Stade Louis II, playing 26 league games and providing two goals and three assists.
And ahead of Leicester's 2018-19 English Premier League opener against Manchester United on Friday, the Algeria international has disclosed his readiness to play anywhere in the Foxes' frontline, hoping to produce enough output.
“I hope to score many goals and many assists to help the team,” Ghezzal told LFCFC TV .
“I can play everywhere in front of the attack. I like and feel better when I play on the right side.
“I hope to feel good in the team. I think we have a very good team with great players who can make great games. I hope we win a lot of games."
The French-born winger played under former Lyon manager Claude Puel while he was in the club's youth team and he is delighted to be reuniting with him in England.
“I was very young when he coached Lyon. He took me for the first team one game in pre-season and after I came back with the young players," he continued.
“I know the coach and I know his work and I like it.
“I’m very excited and I’m very happy to be here. [Puel] wanted me."
