Oman’s tennis star Fatma al Nabhani hopes for a better show at the US$25,000 ITF Incheon Women's Challenger tournament in South Korea after making an exit in the quarterfinals of the Goyang event in South Korea on Friday.

Fatma is seeded ninth in the Incheon event, which begins on Monday.

South Korean Na-Lae Han, ranked 242 in the world, is the top seed.

Speaking to Muscat Daily from Seoul on Saturday, Fatma said, “I hope to do better in Incheon. It is going to be a tough event but I aim to make it to the final.” At the US$25,000 ITF Goyang Women's Challenger, Fatma was seeded fifth but her exit in the last-eight round saw her ITF ranking slide from 388 to 395.

The 25 year old was upset by Great Britain's Harriet Dart, seeded 13th and ranked 513 in the world on Friday. Dart won the match 6-2, 6-1.

Fatma had defeated South Korea’s Sang Hee Park 6-4, 6-4 in the second round after getting past another local girl, Dabin Kim, in the first round.
