Oman's Fatma al Nabhani made a tame exit from the 2016 Qatar Total Open Tennis Championship at the Khalifa International Tennis Complex in Doha on Sunday when she lost to Croatia's Donna Vekic by a double bagel.
Ranked 105th in the world, Vekic blasted to a double bagel (6-0, 6-0) win over Fatma, who is currently ranked 379th.
Fatma, who earned a wild card into the main round, was no match for the Croatian, who had advanced to the main round as a qualifier.
Top seed Angelique Kerber, world No 3 Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki are among the top players in fray at the premier event on the WTA Tour calendar.
The winner of the US$2,818,00 total prize money tournament goes home with a US$518,500 cash prize, while the runner-up gets US$259,300.
The losing semifinalists will be rewarded with US$129,520 each.
