The Qatar Football Association (QFA) has rescheduled the start of Amir Cup final kick-off to 10:15pm to allow Ramadan faithfuls to offer Taraweeh prayers.

The delayed start will also allow smooth flow of traffic around the match venue, QFA said.

QFA said the gates will be thrown open at 7:45 pm. All the previously announced events will be held at the stadium as planned.

The game will be played on May 19th at the Khalifa International Stadium between Al Rayyan and Al Duhail.

Meanwhile, the Organising Committee of the Amir Cup has completed preparations for the final.

Abdullah al Saai said the arrangements for the final have been completed with just a few details remain which will be completed in the coming hours. He said the Amir Cup always attracts a huge attention from football fans in Qatar.

He said Al Duhail and Al Rayyan will be training at the match venue the day before the final and added that the press conferences for the final would be held on the same day of training at Khalifa International Stadium. He said the ticket sales were going on well.

On his part, Abdullah al Ghanim, head of the Internal Security Forces at Lekhwiya, said that there are special arrangements for the upcoming final.

He pointed out that there is a comprehensive traffic plan to avoid congestion on the roads leading to the stadium. Ghanim has urged the spectators to come to the stadium well before the kick-off time to avoid missing out on the action.

Khalid Mubarak al Kuwari announced that an Iftar party will be held for the fans and organisers at the Qatar Women's Sports Hall.

The gates will be opened in the direction of the stadium 6:45pm. The activities will start off before the Iftar time.
