Tunisian winger Wahbi Khazri said on Sunday he cannot describe his feelings after helping his national team reach the World Cup, saying their qualification was fully deserved.

The Carthage Eagles reached the World Cup for the first time since 2006 following a goalless draw at home to Libya, qualifying for the Russia finals as Group A leaders with 13 points,  three ahead of second-placed DR Congo.

"It is an imaginary feeling," Khazri told Tunisian newspaper alchourouk on Sunday.

"It is great to help your national team reach the World Cup and to make all Tunisians happy."

The Sunderland Winger added that his side's qualification was completely deserved as they are the best team in the group.

"We exerted great efforts during the qualifiers. We ended the qualifiers without slumping to any defeat.

"We defeated Guinea and Libya at home. Our success is completely deserved." he concluded.
