A tribute was paid to the victims of Tuesday's terror attack in Turkey before the Euro 2016 quarter-final between Poland and Portugal in Marseille, European football governing body UEFA said Thursday.
"The two teams and spectators will participate in a moment of applause ... in memory of the victims of Tuesday's terrorist attack in Istanbul and other attacks which have occurred during the tournament," a UEFA statement said.
The fan miles across France also took part in the tribute while the Eifel Tower in Paris will be illuminated in Turkish colours in the night to Friday.
At least 44 people died in Tuesday's attack at Istanbul airport.
