Japan is the first country to produce all the required medals for the upcoming 2020 Olympics using recycled materials.
A total of 78,985 tons of discarded devices were collected in a nation-wide campaign to gain the 30.3kg of gold, 4,100kg of silver and 2,700kg of bronze needed for the event’s all 5000 medals.
