After postponing the release of her new album several times, Lebanese singer Dolly Shaheen has finally set a definite date to launch her album titled “Zai El Qamar” (Like the Moon). The singer revealed that she will release her album, which is produced by the production company ‘Pyramidia’, on October 10. The album was at first scheduled to be released during the summer season, but due to incompletion it was postponed.
According to the London based Elaph, Dolly had stated that the second season of the sitcom “Shareef wa Nus”, which she starred in alongside Egyptian actor Shareef Ramzi, has begun screening on the First Egyptian channel, after the entire crew decided to postpone its screening until the end of Ramadan due to the excess of television dramas released.
Dolly stated that screening the sitcom at this time will ensure that it gets its fair chance of achieving success and will be watched by a larger audience than if it was released during the holy month of Ramadan.
With regards to the album, Dolly said that the title of the album is also its main song, which is a duet with Egyptian artist Sameer Sabri that was filmed as a music video and directed by Dolly’s husband. Dolly revealed that she plans on filming two more songs, but has postponed doing so until she releases the album.
