Business manager, Fa’eq Hassan, of Iraqi singer Majed Al Muhandis has announced that the concert that was scheduled to be held in Bahrain on December 24th, was cancelled due to the state of mourning the country is in. Bahrain has announced a seven days mourning over the death of King Hamad’s brother, Sheikh Rashid Ben Issa Ben Salman Al Khalifa. All National day celebrations and concerts have been postponed for a week, reported the London based Elaph.
On a different note, Majed is preparing to make a new appearance at the Tenth Doha Music Festival on December 29. Lebanese singer Yara will be performing on the same night along with Qatari singer Saed Al Fahid and Egyptian singer Shireen Abd Al Wahab.
Majed is also scheduled to hold a New Year’s Eve concert in Beirut and will be performing at two different locations.
