A number of Saudi singers have decided to postpone the release of their albums due to the unstable conditions in the Middle East with uprisings taking place in different countries.  Most singers fear that if they went on and released their albums at this time they will not achieve any success.

According to the internet website MBC.net, among the singers are prominent Mohammad Abdo, Abd Al Majeed Abdullah, Nawal, Ibrahim Al Hakmi and Rabih Saqr.

The singers stated that their production companies thought that the reason behind the postponing was very legitimate and therefore stopped any further work on the albums.

To make up for the loss resulting from postponing albums, singers are steering towards holding private concerts, which in most cases they are making more profits than they would by releasing their albums.
