5.9 earthquake strikes off Peru’s coast

ALBAWABA- A moderate earthquake struck off the coast of Peru on Tuesday, with monitoring agencies including the German Research Centre for Geosciences reporting a magnitude of approximately 5.8 to 5.9 at a shallow depth of around 10 kilometers. The quake occurred near Peru’s northern coastal region and was felt in nearby areas, though no immediate reports of major casualties, significant structural damage, or tsunami warnings were issued.
