يحاول المجتمع ككل الاتحاد والاتحام مع بعضه للتصدي لجائحة فيروس كورونا الذي تفشى في المملكة المتحدة، كما تعاونت المؤسسات الرسمية والمدينة والدينية، وقدم العرب والمسلمين يد المساعدة كذلك.

وقرر الأمير "ويليام" وزوجته دوقة كامبريدج "كيت ميدلتون" زيارة عدد من المجتمعات والشركات والأفراد الذين قدموا المساعدة للمسنين والأسر المحتاجة خلال جائحة فيروس كورونا وفترة الإغلاق من بينهم: مسجد شرق لندن ومركز لندن الإسلامي في "وايت تشابل"، بالإضافة إلى مخبز.

 

ونشر الحساب الرسمي للزوج الملكي مقطع فيديو للثنائي أثناء زيارتهما لإحدى المخابز الشهيرة، حيث قدما يد المساعدة في إعداد العجين واستخدام الآلات، وأرفق بتعليق جاء فيه: "في مخبز Beigel Bake Brick lane الشهير، تعرف دوق ودوقة كامبريديج على طرق المتجر في مساعدة المجتمع المحلي من خلال التبرع بالأغذية ،وتسليمها ،والتحديات المتمثلة في تقليل ساعات العمل أثناء الوباء ".

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Volunteers at the London Muslim Centre have played a vital role in supporting members of the community, by helping to cook and deliver warm meals and medication to the most vulnerable during the pandemic. Beyond providing vital supplies, the team have also been providing befriending calls to the isolated, vulnerable and elderly and critical counselling, including supporting women affected by domestic violence. At the Centre The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met volunteers and beneficiaries of the project, and thanked them for going above and beyond to help others during this time.

وفي وقت لاحق، انتشر مقطع فيديو أثناء زيارة "كيت ميدلتون" و"ويليام" لمسجد شرق لندن، وتظهر "ميدلتون" تصافح إحدى المسلمات التي قدَّمت لها باقة من الورود، وجاء في التعليق: "لعب المتطوعون دوراً مهماً في دعم أفراد مجتمعهم من خلال المساعدة في تقديم وجبات دافئة وطعام وأدوية للفئات الأكثر ضعفاً."

Thanking communities, individuals and businesses who have gone above and beyond to help others: Today The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited London Bridge and Whitechapel to hear about some of the challenges faced over the past six months. Throughout the Covid-19 emergency, London Bridge Job Centre has continued to provide face to face support to vulnerable customers. There, The Duke and Duchess spoke to customers, staff and employers on the difficulties involved in helping people find work during a global pandemic. At the London Muslim Centre @eastlondonmosque, volunteers have supported members of the community by helping to cook and deliver warm meals and medication to the most vulnerable - and gone above and beyond by providing befriending calls to the isolated, vulnerable and elderly and critical counselling, including supporting women affected by domestic violence. During a visit to East London’s famous @beigel_bake Brick Lane Bakery, The Duke and Duchess heard how this affected employees, as well as the ways in which the shop have helped their community through food donation and delivery.
