The Omani Undersecretary of Agriculture and Fish Resources, Khalfan Bin Saleh Al-Naaby, revealed that his ministry is currently evaluating 30 project proposals in the areas of agriculture and fish resources, reported Al Ittihad. The Omani official estimated the costs of these projects at 73 million Omani Rials ($189 million). He added that the government has other plans to develop the local fish sector, which constitutes a major income source for the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to revenues from dates and livestock. — (menareport.com)
