77 percent of Lebanon’s population not satisfied by the VAT

In cooperation with the Lebanese Statistics Company, the Al-Moasher magazine recently executed a local survey to find out the public’s opinion regarding the newly implemented 10 percent value added tax (VAT), reported Assafir . The survey uncovered that 77 percent of the local population is not satisfied from with the VAT. It also showed that 40 percent of locals are skeptical of extending the new tax to hospitals and pharmaceuticals. — (menareport.com
