Analysts in the Dubai real estate market have said that apartment renters from among medium-income earners can not afford more rises in fees following the recent hikes. They warned against continuing pressure on renters, since they might leave the city to adjacent cities looking for cheaper housing opportunities, reported the Emirates newspaper Al-Bayan on October 6, 2005.

The analysts mentioned that launching projects for high-income earners will affect the medium-income earners class. They warned against escalation in the problem of shortage in housing projects for medium-income earners. They call for direct interference to study the ongoing rise in renting fees.
