E-business solutions provider, Aregon has acquired Aspidex Technologies, the Dubai-based e-banking solutions provider for the electronic banking sector, stated a press release.

The move is part of Aregon’s strategy to bring a complete range of e-business solutions to the region’s banking sector. Aregon’s products will allow banks to address their needs for internal efficiency, as well as strengthen their offering to their customer base through online banking services.

As part of the acquisition, Aregon, which has already fully integrated the Aspidex operations under its management structure, will take over the exclusive distribution and relationship with Corillian International, provider of eFinance enabling software, enhanced after the acquisition to encompass exclusive rights to Corillian’s ASP solutions as well as their on-premise licenses.

Aregon, founded by Aramex, International and Citibank, began operations in October last year. Aregon is headquartered in Amman, Jordan, with offices in Beirut and Dubai. Aspidex was founded by the Rasmala Private Equity Group in October 2001, with the aim of providing turnkey e-finance solutions and business consultancy to banks in the region. — (menareport.com)
