A councillor on Sunday accused the Bahraini government of rushing a nationwide scheme to rebuild dilapidated houses. According to the GDN, he said houses that had been torn down are being reconstructed again "awkwardly" and "badly".
The claim was made by Southern Municipal Council vice-chairman Ali Al Mohannadi, the newspaper said.
