A total of BD500,000 will be directed to renovate old houses in Bahrain's five governorates, the GDN reported Thursday. It is in addition to BD120 million already earmarked for upgrading 6,000 dilapidated houses as part of a five-year scheme initiated by King Hamad.
The budget has been divided equally between Bahrain's five municipalities.
