ALBAWABA - Chinese scientists from Zhejiang Province said they have developed a new, magical medical glue called "Bone-02", which can fix fractures in just three minutes.

The glue is inspired by the ability of clams to adhere strongly underwater, according to media sources, which added that Chinese scientists have made 150 successful trials on patients.

Attempts to create bone glue started in the 1940s, but earlier formulations based on gelatin, epoxy resins, and acrylates failed to meet biocompatibility requirements. However, modern bone cements and fillers are not considered true cements—materials capable of bonding surfaces through direct adhesion.

Lin Xianfeng, the head and associate chief orthopaedic surgeon at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital, confirmed that he was triggered to make this bone glue after observing oysters clinging firmly to a bridge underwater, NDTV reported.

What makes this treatment exceptional is that the bone glue can also be naturally absorbed by the human body as the bone heals, eliminating the need for another surgery to remove it, experts said.
