About BD53 million from the state budget for 2005 will be directed for a housing project in Muharraq if the government approves a parliamentary proposal. The urgent proposal calls upon the government to reclaim land for the project, Bahrain Tribune reported.
The government has also been requested to purchase land between the western coast of Al Hidd and the southern side of Arad which is close to the Shaikh Khalifa causeway.
