A call for new restrictions on who can purchase or lease land or buildings in the kingdom of Bahrain was raised by several MPs on Tuesday. A shortage of land is driving prices beyond the reach of ordinary Bahrainis, one MP was quoted as saying by the GDN.
The MPs want non-Bahrainis restricted from purchasing or leasing government land or buildings.
