A Chinese style town, with China's largest commercial complex to be set up outside of Asia, is all set to open in Dubai in September 2004, announced General Manager of Chiname Hao Feng during the ongoing 2nd Chinese Commodities Fair at Expo Centre Sharjah.
Spanning about 150,000 square meters and housing 20 basic commercial centers, 13 service areas, one office area and one business center, Chinamexmart will be home to nearly 4,000 qualified Chinese manufacturers and enterprises and tens of thousands of quality products, stated a press release.
“We are building our largest and permanent trade platform for the Middle East, Eastern Europe and African markets. Once this projects takes-off, trade buyers will no longer need to fly to China to source competitively priced Chinese products. Also, the general public will be not only offered a wide variety of Chinese goods, but also a taste of Chinese culture and cuisine through various Chinese restaurants and entertainment outlets,' said Feng.
The 20 commercial centers will cover about 110,000 square meters and will feature a wide range of products, including textiles and garments, food, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, household electric appliances, communication apparatus, mechanical equipment, building materials and interior decoration, hardware and electrical products, and petrol chemical products. — (menareport.com)
