Scheduled to open in June, the Crowne Plaza Beirut will become the fifth property in Lebanon to be managed by Six Continents Hotels, joining the three Inter-Continental hotels, the Phoenicia Inter-Continental Beirut, le Vendôme Inter-Continental Beirut and Mzaar Inter-Continental Resort -- as well as the Holiday Inn Beirut Dunes, stated a press release.

Media representatives met in the Lobby Lounge, under the curve of the nearly completed $120,000 spiral staircase, leading to the Vivaldi Mediterranean Brasserie. A casual meeting place for hotel guests and locals alike, the restaurant has a view onto the 30 meter-entrance waterfall and 40-outlet shopping mall, which will include branches of La Cigale and BNPI Bank.

The visitors viewed on one of six floors so far fitted-out a room, also with both mountain and sea views, and equipped with the business facilities for which the brand is renowned, including interactive TV, online in-room check out, internet access, a fax/copier machine, and dual-line telephone with voice mail.

The hotel is the first of the upscale Crowne Plaza brand in Lebanon. Since 1994, Crowne Plaza has offered affordable upscale accommodations at more than 146 hotels in 40 countries, including 47 properties in the Middle East and Africa. — (menareport.com)
