Dubai will be in the public spotlight when German TV network NDR devotes an entire episode of the “Weltbilder” show to highlighting the Emirate’s the tourist attractions.
A five-member crew from NDR, the regional public TV and radio network of northern Germany, cam to Dubai for a 10-day visit hosted by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) as part of its aggressive global promotional agenda.
The Dubai showcase is slated for broadcast this coming weekend. Dubai is already a popular destination for many Germans. A total of 171,140 German guests stayed in Dubai hotels and hotel apartments in 2002, an increase of 15.19 percent from the previous year. Dubai trade with Germany increased by about 31.2 percent in 2002 compared with 2001. There are currently 107 German tour operators featuring Dubai in their programs. — (menareport.com)
