The Dubai Ports Authority (DPA) was recently awarded a management contract for India's Vizag Port. DPA will supervise the port’s activity in cooperation with Indian transportation firm, J M Baxi & Co for a 30-year period on a build operate transfer (BOT) basis.

The Authority collaborated with J M Baxi & Co last month in establishing a $41 million cargo container terminal in the Visakhapatnam region, PTI reported.

DPA serves more than 125 shipping lines. Its facilities include cold stores and cool stores in the Jebel Ali Free Zone to a purpose-built berth for import of bulk aluminum oxide and expanded tanker jetties to handle the requirement for petroleum and petrochemical products. — (menareport.com)
