Egyptian bank deposits up eight percent in 2001

The Egyptian Prime Minister, Atef Ubeid, recently anticipated that customer deposits in local commercial banks, in the form of both foreign and local currency deposits, would grow by eight percent in 2002, compared with the previous year, reported Al-Hayat.
