The Egyptian government is currently preparing a special ministerial committee to manage and control non-investment spending in the country, reported Al-Hayat. This step comes in the framework of the government’s efforts to guide and control governmental spending. This step includes government promised reforms, to be executed during the donor countries’ last summit in Sharem El-Sheikh. Non-investment governmental expenditures in the new budget stand at $1.2 billion, a $300 million drop compared with the non-investment expenditures in 2001. — (menareport.com)
