Egyptian Telecommunication Company posts $345 million net income

The Head of the Central Accounting Department at the Egyptian Telecommunication Company, Jawdat Al-Mult, stated that the company posted a net operating income of 1.6 billion Egyptian Pounds ($345 million) in fiscal year 1999/2000, ending June 30, 2000, reported Al-Ahram . The company’s revenues increased to EP 5.5 billion in fiscal year 1999/2000, up from EP 4.3 billion in the previous year, a 28 percent growth rate. The company’s revenues from cellular telephones grew to EP 1.2 billion during the same period, a 207 percent growth compared with the previous year. The company’s other revenues increased to EP 1.3 billion in 1999/200, a 21 percent rise. — (menareport.com)
